How many pumpkins does it take to ruin a party? Just one if it happens to be the Smashing Pumpkins' frontman billy corgan. At the pyramid friday corgan and his band played a mere hour then berated the audience because not enough tickets were sold.
Corgan's encore? A beavis and butt-head caliber "you suck" but wait a minute. If 11,000 screaming fans isn't enough adulation to keep Corgan's frail ego saticfied, then he deserves every bit of "has been" karma that is his destiny. Not only did more people show up for the pumpkins than hootie and the blowfish, the crowd was about as reserved as it was for Kiss. Loud music damages the minds and apparently the brains as well. To paraphrase corgan's own teen spirit antheme: despite all of his rage, he is still just a jerk in his conceited cage.
