The number lined up with that letter is the fret you play on. So for this riff you'd play the second fret on E, then open (0), then open again, then 2... etc. If the top of the tab says you tune it a half step down: Eb Ab Db Gb, then the letters will still be the same on the left, you treat the bass as if it's in tune, which is isn't (learn how to downtune below). 2. If a tab is tuned half step down (Eb Ab Db Gb or Db Ab db Gb) it is written in the body as normal. 4 There are messages like this all over the tab telling you what to do. 5 A lot of times messages refer to different riffs, that's why they are labeled 6 Usually means scratch the strings. Sometimes it is meant as don't play. 7 Half step. This tabs aren't really tabbed for rythm. That would take too much time this is a cheap way of saying faster. Once or twice you may run into a q which means even faster than h. 8 People are always taking tabs from my page and putting them on there's. Requests A lot of times when I receive requests they are either for songs that have already been tabbed or for songs that don't have a bass line.
